Orana Director Niels Østerberg was part of a debate panel about “Denmark in the world and the international perspectives” at a conference on 10th June at the Confederation of Danish Industries, where The Danish Government presented their new action plan for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The message from Orana in the debate panel was that it is a fantastic work that has been done in Denmark with sustainability and working with the SDG’s. Denmark is in many ways a pioneering country within sustainability, and can show as an example outside of Denmark. However it is necessary with more attractive Government programmes to support small and medium sized companies to go international to knowledge share on sustainable solutions in among others development countries, as Orana has been doing since 2002 and still is.

Latest Orana project is establishing an organic Banana farm in Kenya to secure supply and quality of fruit, and at the same time of growing the business in a sustainable way supporting the local community.
